iRest® is a transformative practice based on yoga nidra and ancient teachings that involves deep relaxation and meditative inquiry. Developed by Richard Miller, PhD, this non-dual approach uncovers and releases negative emotions and beliefs, calms the nervous system and develops an inner resource of well-being that can be accessed in all circumstances. It restores ease, invites awareness and expansion, and resolves physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual issues.
Research has shown that iRest effectively reduces PTSD, depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain and chemical dependency. It's an adjunctive treatment that has been integrated into veteran settings, homeless shelters, clinics, schools, therapeutic centres and yoga and meditation classes.
iRest can be practiced privately, delivered in a group setting or in a one-on-one session. Erin is an IRI Certified iRest Teacher®. For more information see: www.irest.us.
